CITY OF INDIAN WELLS NOTICE OF OBSERVER OPPORTUNITIES FIRE ACCESS MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1 (FAMD) ELECTION OF DIRECTORS TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTOR
Notice is hereby given that the ballot count for the Election of Directors to the Fire Access
Maintenance District No. 1 (FAMD) Board of Directors will take place as follows:
Date: Monday, January 26, 2026
Time: 10:00 A.M.
Location: 44950 Eldorado Drive Indian Wells, CA 92210
Property owners within the District may observe the ballot count. Observers may not interfere with or
disrupt the counting process. Each property within the FAMD are entitled to cast up to two (2) votes
for any candidates listed on the ballot. A write-in candidate will be accepted as one of the two votes.
Completed ballots received by the District Manager of the Fire Access Maintenance District No. 1, no later than 4:00 P.M. on Monday, January 19, 2026, in the envelope provided shall be counted.

All FAMD Vendors
In the best interest of the general public’s health and safety, the FAMD is asking that all personnel, contractors and visitors be guided by the following minimum COVID related policies and procedures while inside or on a FAMD controlled property.
- COVID vaccinations are not required at this time however, we encourage all persons to get vaccinated that do not have special circumstances.
- All public facing personnel, contractors and visitors are required to :
– Wear an appropriate face mask at all times, vaccinated or not.
– Immediately notify a supervisor if you knowingly come in contact with someone that tested positive for COVID.
Note: If your organization or personal COVID standards are more robust than these minimums, we encourage you to follow them in addition to these minimums.

Miles Avenue Closed for BNP Paribas Open
The BNP Paribas Open Tennis Tournament is here from October 4-17 and will be played at the Indian Wells Tennis Gardens. General Parking for the event is located off Washington St. and Miles Ave.
Miles Avenue will be closed to through traffic during the entire event.
Expect delays during this time especially during the hours of 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. To reduce travel delays and help minimize traffic, please use alternate routes.
We look forward to this year’s tournament and thank you for your patience as we welcome tennis enthusiasts from around the world.
Note: We are allowing parking of residents along Manitou by where employees park, just not at red curbs, so they can walk to the Tournament.
